What to Prepare Before Discussing Industrial Process Equipment
A practical checklist for airflow, material, temperature, moisture, capacity and installation information before equipment selection begins.
Industrial equipment selection becomes more useful when the initial inquiry contains real operating data. The following information helps organize the first technical discussion.
Describe the material or dust stream
State the material name, particle characteristics, temperature and any known handling concerns.
Add the required duty
For dust collection, include airflow and dust concentration when available. For classification, include feed size, target fraction and capacity. For drying, include initial moisture, target moisture, heat source and throughput.
Show the surrounding process
Installation space, existing equipment, destination and available drawings help place the requested machine in context.
